Bio Sculpture Nail System

The World of Bio Sculpture

Nail care with origin — developed, manufactured and shaped in South Africa.

Elmine Scholtz, founder of Bio Sculpture

Founder & Origins

Beauty with integrity, origin and professional substance.

Bio Sculpture did not begin as a marketing concept. It grew out of real salon practice. Elmine Scholtz was looking for a system that combined beauty, durability and respectful treatment of the natural nail.

After training at the CIDESCO Beauty Academy in Stellenbosch, she opened her own salons in Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. When existing products did not meet her standards, she deepened her knowledge in California and developed her own salon system together with professionals and scientists.

In 1988, Elmine Scholtz introduced Bio Sculpture Gel — a UV-curing soak-off gel system that still defines the brand’s philosophy today: reliable salon results, premium textures and Nail Health as an integral part of modern salon work.

Insight

A look behind Bio Sculpture.

The brand film shows the people, production and atmosphere behind a brand that has stood for premium nail care with high standards for decades.

Made in South Africa

Clocolan is not just a production site. It is part of the identity.

Bio Sculpture’s headquarters are located in Clocolan, around four hours south of Johannesburg. Surrounded by open landscapes, premium gel and nail care products for salons worldwide are created here.

The approximately 3,000 m² factory brings development, manufacturing and quality control together in one location. Natural light, climate-controlled rooms and an independent water supply create an environment where quality begins long before the finished product.

Clinical-Level Safety

TPO-free formulations and HEMA-free products within selected lines are clearly declared and form part of a controlled product approach.

Clean Formulations

At Bio Sculpture, 10-Free follows a clear manufacturer definition. Ingredients that are already prohibited by regulation are not artificially counted.

Easy Soak Off

The soak-off system combines reliable durability with controlled removal and the lowest possible stress on the natural nail.

Quality Standards

Quality that is visible — and remains verifiable.

Bio Sculpture products are developed in the company’s own laboratory and manufactured in its own production facility in Clocolan, South Africa. Production according to DIN ISO 22716 (GMP) and quality management according to ISO 9001 create the basis for reliable process safety, consistent quality and professional salon use.

At Bio Sculpture, quality is not a single production step. It is part of the entire company culture. Development, manufacturing and quality control follow the same high standard: to create products that perform reliably and maintain consistent quality over years. This continuity has shaped the brand from the beginning and remains the basis for the trust of many salons worldwide.
